Lasagna Skillet =============== Serves 6 - 1 tbsp olive oil - 1/2 lb ground beef - 2 cloves garlic - 28 oz can diced tomatos - 8 oz can tomato sauce - 1 tbsp sugar - 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes - 1 tbsp italian seasoning - 1 tsp salt - 1/2 tsp pepper - 12 oz bow tie pasta (I used about 2.5 cups) - 1/2 cup water - 1 cup shredded mozzarella - 1/2 cup ricotta Instructions: ============= 1) Preheat oven to 350 (could wait until simmering in later step) 2) Heat oil in 12 inch skillet. Add the beef and cook until browed. Stir in garlic and cook 1 min longer. 3) Mix in diced tomatos, tomato sauce, sugar, italian seasoning, salt, pepper and pasta. Pour water over the top and cover. 4) Simmer 20-25 min or until pasta is tender. 5) Top with mozzarella + ricotta cheese. Place in oven and heat 10 min until the cheese is melted. 6) Add red pepper flakes at end if not everybody wants it (otherwise, add in step 3) FUTURE idea: Try out broiling some to brown cheese...
